INDIANAPOLIS, IN-ADESA, Inc. has received the prestigious Keystone Award for Excellence in Public Relations for the Global Vehicle Remarketing report series. An annual competition hosted by the Hoosier Chapter, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Keystone Awards program recognizes local communications professionals who demonstrate the highest standards of performance in the public relations profession. The awards were given on October 10 during Hoosier Chapter, PRSA's monthly luncheon at the Indianapolis Athletic Club.
"We are very proud to receive such an honor," said Tom Kontos, vice president, industry relations and analytical services and the reports' author. "This was a team effort and winning this award reinforces the growing awareness within and outside the vehicle remarketing industry of ADESA's leadership in that field."
Fifty-five entries were received, but only 11 Keystone Awards were given in various categories. ADESA, Inc. received the coveted Keystone Award in the Investor Relations project category. Entries were judged by a panel of communications professionals from the Greater Fort Worth PRSA chapter. Judges gave ADESA consistently high marks in the areas of planning/content, creativity/talent, technical excellence and evaluation.
"The overall quality is extremely high and presents the company as a professional, high quality organization," said Paul Sturiale, a judge in the competition. "Design is clean and very conducive to conveying the information." Sturiale is chairman of the awards and scholarship committee for the Greater Fort Worth PRSA Chapter. Another judge commented that the target audience was clearly defined and the information was well tailored to the intended audience.
